| I suffer from a genetic disease and am therefore the holder of an invalidity card. At the end of 2003, I decided to launch this site to help disabled people escape from their “enforced” solitude. Disability often leads to a certain degree of solitude, and the Internet is one of the solutions for dealing with this isolation, and a way of making new friends, of finding correspondents all over the world, and perhaps even of meeting new people, hence the idea for this site. |

| Another kind of isolation that can be felt is that of compartmentalisation in the disabled community, and for this reason, this site is open to all those, non-disabled or disabled, who simply do not wish to be compartmentalised from the outset. |
